The Challenge
RPM corporate wanted to encourage more competition between franchises to gain more doors. Leadership believed this to be via showing the MTD and YTD door counts. The initial proposal was to outsource this to a consultancy and display as a dedicated page of the intranet, but budget constraints made this route no longer available. Leadership then came to me to quickly implement a solution within a month.
Our Approach
I took an iterative and simple solution approach to get a Power BI MVP into production quickly. Power BI enabled us stay within existing infrastructure to launch quickly and easily maintain.
The Solution
After iterating on the MVP and gathering feedback from the stakeholders, we launched v1 and tested with franchises owners. We got their key feedback and launched the final version to the intranet for all franchises to view.
